Form and function in harmony, innovation and tradition in harmony: The Nakiri 5000 MCD from MIYABI turns cutting into an extraordinary experience thanks to exclusive materials and modern technology that inspires knife enthusiasts. The knives from the 5000MCD series look simply fascinating: A sharp blade with traditional Honbazuke trigger in individual Flower Damascus, optimally complemented by a handle made of noble Masur birch for a unique, natural design. The Nakiri is used with a pressing cutting technique. It is ideal for chopping vegetables and herbs. The seamless birch handle fits comfortably in the hand while working. The blade was sharpened with the Honbazuke trigger. With this hand trigger, which is traditionally used in Japanese knife making, the blade is sharpened and polished in three steps, making the edge particularly sharp due to its fine surface. The CRYODUR blade was hardened in a process specially developed for multilayer steel - so it is particularly cutting and flexible despite your high hardness. The knife owes many of its characteristics to its place of manufacture, Seki, the Japanese forging city: sharpness, precision and outstanding aesthetics.
